Throughout its history, humanity could develop several means of communication, energy of basic (smoke markers) with the most sophisticated (satellite and cellphones). For a few years, the audio conference, a form of communication which consists in gathering several participants in only one phone call, has started to gain ground in professional environments.
The multiplication of the gravitational offers on behalf of telephone operators, as well as technological developments in the field of telecommunications, facilitated the adoption of the audio conference by SME. Recently,
the operators started to launch formulas of free audio conference, with at only cost the cost of phone call locally. Dimensioned technological, the new power stations of telecommunication are from now on able to manage a great number of audio stream at the same time, with a minimum of errors and interferences.
In addition, the opinions of the experts on the profits in productivity generated by the audioconference alerted the heads of undertakings. Most recalcitrant of them were finally convinced by the economic crisis. In these times of crisis, the need to improve the productivity and to reduce the costs becomes pressing, and even quasi essential for the survival of the company. Thus, instead of sending the commercial one to the office of the customer, an audioconference between the head of undertaking and his commercial on a side, and the customer with his team on other side, is a faster and less expensive solution.
And then the audioconference, it is often a practical solution in the case of bad weather which can return the visit of the customer a painful task. With the snow which blocks the access to several European and Asian cities during the time of December/January, and the floods which often strike the south of Europe, the audio conference is a means of keeping the communication even under the most extreme conditions.
So today the audioconference becomes increasingly impossible to circumvent in the companies, it is not at all to replace the traditional means of communication (the commercial one will always need to see the customer in person), but rather for the complémenter, in particular when the atmospheric or financial conditions requires it.
