Traditional line with the GSM and the VOIP: History of the telephone

It is popularly accepted that Graham Bell was the inventor of the telephone. Although the intellectual property of the invention is discussed, it is Bell which, in 1876, deposited the granting of the improvement of telegraphy. In 1877, the first test was led by itself. The very first words would have summers: “Mr. Watson, come here. I must speak to you”.
Since then, the improvements in the world of telephony did not cease evolving/moving. More the young generations will probably not remember any, but when the cellphone was launched to the beginning of the year 1990, it was not immediately about a revolution. The reason was quite simple: the first cellphones were not completely the roof of the portability…

The GSM knows already a long way. It became increasingly small. The telephone companies increased their support, in the form of subscriptions and, of course, of the cover. Except voice, it became possible to also send short messages: textos. It is strange to think it today, but the initial reaction to the SMS was rather cold. What could one say in 160 characters?
It is thanks to the young people, who created their own ingot SMS, that the SMS started to know a success. After the SMS came the ms. The cellphone is, nowadays, much more than one simple apparatus to telephone and send short messages. Music, photograph, diary, Internet, to see even game console: all is possible with the new cellphones.
Behind all that, there are various technologies. In 1997 one added the GPRS to technology GPS and, in 1999, the EDGE for the data transmission other than the voice. Now, it is 3G, the mobile Internet, which makes fury. And one awaits already the 4G.
But the telephone, that can also occur through the Internet networks, which it is about a traditional phone line (PSTN) or coaxial cable. It is what is called the VOIP, Voice Over Internet Protocol. The advantage is the reduced cost. The telephone by VOIP is implemented in many companies, but for the consumer, that exists too. Skype is the best example. However, the use of the VOIP without computer on the other hand requires a telephone especially designed for the VOIP.
